• What is the definition of a Guest Player

Answer 2:

• Per Soccer-RI Policies & Procedures; Rule # 3310 Guest Players.

  Where permitted by the rules of a tournament or special competition, players registered to one club may play as guest players for a team sponsored by another club. However, all managers and/or coaches of teams containing guest players must ensure that their guest players have obtained written permission from the club or clubs to which the players are registered and must produce the permission prior to the start of the competition. Failure to do so will disqualify those guest players from the competition. The written permission for guest players must be submitted to the State office as well as the Director of the tournament or competition. Such notification is to be made prior to the commencement of a tournament period. NOTE: When using guest players, your team’s roster must be revised and recertified by the State Registrar to include guest players. This roster must then be marked: for (name of) Tournament Only. 3311 Participation in Senior Amateur Games. A youth player will be permitted to play an unlimited

• How many Guest Players can I add to my Teams Roster

Answer 3:

• Each team may add 3 Guest Players to a teams roster

Question 4:

• What do I need to do if I want to add a Guest Player to my Roster

Answer 4:

• RI Teams ONLY
  • You need to go to the following URL on the Soccer-RI Website and follow the directions for adding a Guest Player onto your team roster and then submit an e-Travel form request

• Out-of-State Teams
  • You must go to your State Association Website and follow the directions for e-Travel

Question 5:

• How many matches will each team play

Answer 5:

• Each Team will play a minimum of 3 matches

• Depending on the number of teams per division some divisions will have play-offs and some will not

  • 5 Teams per Division = No Playoffs

    • Team with most points in the division wins the division (See Tournament Rules for additional information regards ties)

  • 8 Teams per Division = 2 Sub-divisions (East & West) = Playoffs
    

    • Winner of East plays the Winner of West in a Final Playoff Game

• Do we need a Medical Release form for the Tournament
